The Clerk of Senate

Return to List of Officers of the University

The Clerk of Senate has status equivalent to that of a Vice-Principal, and responsibility for matters to do with the regulation of academic policy and practice and the provision of advice and judgement on matters of an academic nature.

From August 2002 until November 2004 the post was combined with that of Vice-Principal (Learning and Teaching). While not always using the title, the Clerk of Senate holds the same status as the Vice-Principals and is a member of the Senior Management Group.
